IMAKE STUDIO’S new collection of flat weave rugs, Digital Transfer, are based on finger sketches drawn on an IPAD. The smooth curves of the digital sketches are rendered in a pixelated form due to the weave of the rugs. While the original sketch on a digital medium has no particular trace of its origin, the pixelated finished product refers both to the process of making and the memory of its origin
